Reviews
A heavy and tough subject! But a very rewarding one at that. Sunita is a great lecturer and tutors are very engaging; both try to make the subject as interesting as possible for students. Reading can be a bit onerous, but the tutorial questions are actually pretty fun to do. This is one of the those subjects that will be 100% of use and of significant importance for life in general.

Great but challenging subject. The lecturer is very good! The tutors are very good! The content is really organized and well delivered! The only suggestion I would have is that maybe make the quiz longer. If you wanna do well in this subject, take your own notes, purchased notes may be able to get you a pass but you will not do too well. Also, DO NOT MISS ANY OF THE QUIZZES I learned this the hard way. H1 is very Challenging as exams and assignments are marked very harshly. definitely not a WAM booster

Excellent lecturer and tutors. Subject content is quite relevant and straightforward to understand. But the amount of reading is quite demanding.

A very well structured and taught subject. As an Arts student that previously had no knowledge or real interest in tax, this subject was surprisingly interesting. It provides students with a thorough introduction to topics such as income tax, CGT, fringe benefit tax, and GST. The key to doing well in this subject is consistent completion of the tutorial exercises. Sunita designs the tutorial questions in a way that they are identical to the exam structure. Therefore, go to the tutes prepared, clarify your knowledge, and then write up a proper answer after the tute.

Lecture slides are very comprehensive and make the subject easy to revise. Not recording lectures with video is somewhat annoying. Overall subject gives a large number of resources to allow students to do well.

Although i can term this as a dry subject, i loved everything about it and am more than ready to offer guidance

Best Lecturer ever.
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2016
Quite a dry subject given its about tax but the lecturer tries to make it interesting. Its an open book exam so good note taking during semester is essential and can make exam prep much easier.
