Very dry content that's hard to absorb, having Wasana as a lecturer didn't help. Couldn't understand a thing from lecture though the content itself isn't that hard. You basically have to teach yourself. the scale down should be illegal.

David F***ng Harris my boy. Listening to you cured my insomnia. Then the coordinators had the nerve do scale the results down, leave the results as they are for god's sake.

One of the most boring subjects I have ever done. I can never pay attention in lectures because the content is so dry and lectures are unengaging. The content itself isn’t very hard and there are a lot of resources provided, such as textbook extracts, learning modules, pre quiz and quizzes.

This was a very enjoyable statistics subject. As long as you stay on top of the workload and the weekly schedule of work and tutes there is nothing holding you back from doing very well.

Quite okay subject if you have a strong mathematics and statistics background. Just make sure you understand lectures (Liana's lectures are written with relevant examples or applications to each topics) and do each tutorial questions to complete weekly quizzes. To obtain high marks on exam, you need to do past papers and have a firm understanding for each concepts covered in tutorial questions and manage your time wisely. Liana is an awesome lecturer and clearly explains and demonstrates clear and relevant examples.

not easy

This subject requires constant revision during the semester. It comes naturally as you practice it often.
Anonymous, Semester 1, 2017
This subject is not difficult as long as you can grasp the important concepts, especially for “confidence interval” and “hypothesis testing”. The lecturer (Liana) is great as she explains everything in detail. Overall, this subject is very well-structured, and I’d recommend it as you will likely use some of the skills learned in this subject at some point in the future (in my opinion).

This subject is one a lot of people find difficult but the teaching is absolutely superb. Would recommend to anyone who likes to learn.

Pretty happy with this subject. Although, from week1-10 the content was heavy and confusing. Literally had no idea what was going on during tutorials. However, during exam period, when I actually tried to understand and do exercises, it is not hard to get your head around.
