Reviews

Overall, good and easy subject, especially if you took 2u Adv maths in high school. If you keep up with weekly content, should be fairly easy to pass, just make sure to practice question not then won't be too difficult, interesting as well.

Nice teaching quality and considerate professors.

A really well taught and interesting maths subject.

Expect to waste more time than the second assignment is worth. There's a big gap between the in-class tests and the final, so expect to study for it considerably. Staying on top will get you easy marks throughout the semester. Make sure to look at and do past exams or you'll be leaving questions blank in the final (even if you've been getting 100% throughout the semester).

Requires a lot of practice but worthwhile, relatively easy even if you're not a maths person

Really fun math subject, actually. It has a lot of different parts to it, and it's hard to see how those parts are connected, though. It can get quite difficult by the end, but it's interesting, which makes up for it! #1 Tip: PRACTICE! Most of the skills you're learning (cross products, row reduction, matrix multiplication) will be used over and over in different contexts. If you can master those basic skills, you will excel. If you struggle, then no matter how well you understand the material, you won't be able to perform on the very time-limited exam.

Not too bad lecturers are ok

I enjoyed this subject despite not having a strong passion for mathematics. Great course!

Way better than Math1111. Way better than discrete (1004). Great tutors all round, good learning curve where for once you don't have to lose your hair cramming in stuvac because most of the topics are very friendly.

I really manageable subject, especially for those of us who have never touched calculus (as there is none in this unit, raise the roof).
