USYD Science Tutor Mary

As a not a native English speaker student, I was facing a lot of difficulties with understanding the science concept. Mary has helped me to overcome this barrier a lot throughout the semester to understand the lectures learning outcomes and guide me of how to improve my report and literature review writing. She is also very patient and explain things multiple times until you are confident with it. She responds to your emails & questions very quickly which really helped me to answer a question the night before the exam. I highly recommend Mary if you need any help in the science field

I contacted Mary for help with GAMSAT biology and chemistry and was amazed at how much learning took place in our first session alone. She moves at a pace that enables both depth of understanding and excellent value for money (important for us uni students!) and maintains a manner that is both efficient and affable at the same time. I would highly recommend Mary to anyone who is dedicated to their studies and wants to speedtrack/supplement their learning. Mary will give you not only confidence but also many tips that will save you hours trawling through textbooks and youtube videos!

Mary was so helpful with one of my medical science subjects, I managed to receive a distinction for an assessment which was considered relatively difficult by my cohort. I couldn’t of done it without her attentive responses and clear, thorough explanations of the context behind the lab results which enabled me to easily understand how to approach the assessment!

Mary tutored me in CPAT3202 and ANAT3004. Would not have gotten through those subjects with out her help. She is very good at explaining things in simple ways so you can easily remember. Would definitely recommend Mary for anyone needing extra help with studying.

Mary is a very experienced tutor and is very helpful in explaining all different concepts and problems in BMED2404, 2405 and 2406. I would highly recommend her as a tutor if you are struggling with these subjects.Also the notes she provided is extremely useful and contains all the details for these units.

Whether it was being introduced to something new, or going over something for the 5th time, Mary was understanding, supportive and so helpful. She ensured I understood everything; from the basics, to the trickier content. Not only did this help me stress less, it inadvertently resulted in me genuinely enjoying the subject (HSTO3001). Mary is an extremely talented tutor, she enabled me to walk away from each tutoring session more confident than the last. She is a proactive and knowledgable tutor. I would 110% recommend Mary to anyone that is seeking any help, large or small, for any of her subjects offered.
