Reviews

This is a great subject given that you put in the effort. The weekly tutoring questions are fairly straightforward and the exams were very fair. If you take the subject seriously and dedicate sufficient time for it, there is no reason why you should not get at least a Distinction.

really good course for anyone interested in economics and business!

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2014

Great subject even for the little study that I put in to it. Theory was interesting and quite basic to understand.

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2015

Intriguing if it is something that you're interested in. Lecturers varied in terms of adequacy... overall, okay to good. Great tutor - Jimmy! Explain the theory first then walked through the tute questions.

Useful subject but you need to select the right lecturer

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2014

Genuinely loved this subject. Found it challenging and a great way to get a broad understanding of current fiscal/monetary dilemma's in government. Exam's were tough but marked fairly. Mid-year exam essay was difficult, but with a good grasp of current Australian situation a high grade is easily attainable.

Couldnt understand my tutor, interesting to a degree but quite hard for those with no economics background.

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2014

interesting topic, lecturer wasn't decent. I had a really bad tutor.

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2013

Better than ECON1001 but still difficult and boring (especially if you have no background in Economics)
