Reviews
Modules arnt great to work through and weekly quizzes are only 1% so are really annoying. Content isn't too tricky.

Got Jordi as lecturer. Reads off the slides. Minimal explanation. Past papers not accessible. Textbook has no solutions.

The final exam was pretty tricky
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2021
The content is interesting, as it is the basis of macroeconomics, which should be a interesting topic for someone who is interested in global economy or business cicle of recessions. But if Jordi is your lecturer or cordinator, then don't take this course. He teaches terribly. He reads through the slides all the time without adding more information to help the students to better understand the contents. There was a comment in 2015 saying that Jordi's teaching is boring and not useful. From my experience, I see no improvement from this professor in 2020.

Worst outline ever
Anonymous, Semester 1, 2019
Fundamental Macroeconomics course that goes more in depth than high school economics where it covers several models. Pretty content heavy but with the right amount of effort, it is doable.

Very applicable to real life. However, some topics can be challenging to understand such Aggregate Demand/Supply. A lot of stuff you need to memorise. Diagrams are more complicated than those in microeconomics

Interesting subject in my economic major at USYD. The examination (final) is not tricky & all calculation questions had been found in the lecture slides & tutorials each week. In total, good subject to enrol & recommended for first year students
