Anything financial and accounting related has always been my thing. I did not rely on the lecturer to pass this subject. The subject was very straight foward and I will be more than willing to guide other students through the same

This unit examines the accounting and reporting practices of reporting entities, particularly listed public companies. Emphasis is placed on developing an understanding of, and the ability to critically evaluate, the various regulatory requirements (professional and statutory) governing financial reporting. The unit commences with an overview of the financial reporting environment and theories that seek to explain the accounting policy choices of management. This framework provides a basis for examining a range of specific issues in financial accounting. Emphasis throughout the unit is on both the application of specific accounting techniques and rules and the conceptual nad theoretical issues associated with alternative accounting methods.

Keep yourself updated with each week's tutorial content and you will find it quite easy

Bloody hard

The unit consists of unrelated accounting topics (you won't get lost if you miss one). However, you do study a lot in one topic though. It started from positive accounting theory to explain/predict acct policy choice. From there, you study other topics which can be either easy or difficult. Still, very journal-entry based so brush up your Dr/Cr before you study this subject.

Good teachers but content is difficult compared to past accounting subjects
