I would recommend choosing your tutors carefully for this subject, I was not really a fan of writing but this subject is a good sampler I guess? The tutorials are fairly fun, the lectures are okay in my opinion. I would definitely recommend to someone who wants to progress into journalism of any sort to do this subject.

Such a fun and challenging subject, especially for those who likes writing or want to pursue a writing degree later on (or just writing knowledge in general). The tutorials were engaging and the lectures were very informative (even if you view it online because it is at 8am).

Great subject that really challenges you to push your limits in writing and implement the real world into it. I even went to a rally for a piece. Really fun, practical, and interesting.

Really enjoyable subject that gives a great introduction to the broad variety of writing in media. The lectures (broken up into the different types of writing each week, eg. Personal Narrative Articles, Hard News Stories, etc.) gave excellent background information which the tutorials followed up on nicely. The workshopping process in the tutorials was really helpful and I liked the collaborative tut experience. It's very practical for anyone considering journalism or anything media-related, because it gives you genuine experience writing and reviewing each type of writing you'll come across.
