Description

These are notes I compiled for use in my examination. They cover all weeks (1-11). These notes are organized by types of crime ( Homicide, sexual offences, ). Each crime type contains the relevant case law and statutes. More importantly, all the elements of each crime are listed in order. Moreover, the cases and statutes are organized via headings in order to allow for faster navigation (especially during exams). These notes also include all the available defenses, with supporting case law and statutes. I scored an HD in my exam as well as my overall unit score. The sample notes are not in order, I've chosen specific sections to show you in order to help you get a feel for the level of detail and the organization of different crimes and not just the first few pages. However, I've only included 3 types of crimes (homicide, assault, sexual offences) whereas the full notes include all the others ( property offences, inchoate offences, strict liability/absolute liability) Things to note: The sample notes contain only one of the causation tests. However, the full notes contain all of them. I've also only included one type of each crime ( one type of homicide, one type of assault, one type of sexual ) and only one defence. Also, the sample notes only include 1 or 2 case law for each crime whereas the full notes contain all of them. Furthermore, the sample notes do not include the notes regarding the general supporting concepts ( consent in sexual offences) whereas the full notes do
