HD (Ranked Top 5) Concise Public Law Notes
Subject notes for USYD LAWS1021
Description
I made these succinct notes for the final exam and they allowed me to achieve a HD for the unit (ranked in top 5). They have EVERYTHING you need to get the exact mark I got because this is what I personally made and memorised for the exam. Best things: 1) The notes are structured in a way to help you answer problem questions in the exam which means that all the elements are logically presented. 2) All the principles, the relevant 'tests' and also the 'methods' or the check list you should be going through for particular concepts ( Persona Designata or Manner and Form or Executive Spending) to cover all relevant arguments and issues. Complied from a range of constitutional and admin law textbooks (including the prescribed book) and clarifications from the lecturer to understand how the principles applied and interact. This is literally all I had memorised for my HD but had also read through my 'comprehensive' notes set that is also uploaded here. Topics: Topic 1 – Intro and Key Legislations Topic 2 – Constitutions and their Amendments (Cth and States) Topic 3 – Part 1: The Legislature Topic 3 – Part 2: Representative Government Topic 4 – Part 1: Federal Judiciary and Separation of Judicial Power Topic 4 – Part 2: Extension of Ch III to State courts Topic 4 – Part 3: Detention (Judicial and Non-Judicial) and Institutional integrity and independence Topic 5 – Part 1: The Executive and power Topic 5 – Part 2: Delegated legislations Topic 6 – Open Government and Accountability Topic 7 – Judicial Review Topic 8 – Merits Review Topic 9 – Investigative Bodies and Administrative Conduct Topic 10 – Rights Protection
