Good elective if your GPA is dropping. Isn't worth the money but the easiest pass you'll find. Text book is dead weight. Learn a page of basic HTML and follow a YouTube on Notepad++ before you start and you won't miss anything in tuts. Convenor made so many irrelevant side-notes he basically gave lectures about himself. You'll pass the final exam if you've done the other assessment work, only real grade slip is that the group assessment is marked together and they DGAF if you're stuck with a bad group. Be ruthless and kick out slackers or you pay.

Information technology is essentially how the world functions today, so this unit will aid students of any discipline. The convenor/lecturer shares his humorous life experiences to help explain things in a concise manner. The one thing which felt off were the assignments, which felt a bit too technical and not very relevant to the subject as a whole.

very easy and easy to pass

I liked the lecturer, however it is important to re-read lecture notes a lot in order to do well in quizzes. Easy subject to get a D, but the blog does take a bit a work if you get placed into a poor group...

Breather subject so the education outcome it isn't worth the price ($1143 in 2015), but you don't need the text book and the slightest effort will land you a Credit even if you've never touched a computer. •••• Assessment: The very basic HTML & group blog tasks cover everything in the tiny final exam, 3 quiz and a 2400 word report •••• Convener/lecturer seems to spend more time talking about himself than anything useful, as a bonus is occasionally sexist, but Tutors were brilliantly engaged.

Fantastic lecturer who makes the subject fun and interesting. Easy content, tested thoroughly to motivate you to understand it. Great stepping stone into IT

The tutors for this subject were helpful although I didn't really enjoy the subject. It wasn't what I expected.

Both the lecture content and the tutorials are interesting. Matt is a great lecturer. Highly recommend as a great elective unit. Easy marks & a fun semester.
