The course is doable but depending on the convenor it can be poorly organised. I had a great experience and did well with this course but you will need to make sure you don't fall behind. The key points in this course are expanded in strategic management accounting too.

Good course. I didn't attend lectures or tutorials because I didn't find the teaching team particularly stimulating or useful. Topics were simple enough to teach myself. Easy marks if you of the My Accounting Lab (MAL) exercises - also a helpful tool for learning. Exams were both quite simple too. Nailed this course :)

Really poorly designed subject that is hard to actually get a good mark in. Relies too much on the My Accounting Lab crap and doesn't actually really teach you anything. The lecture content is really easy and then you are thrown a "Do all the questions in the back of the textbook for tutorials" and you don't know how to do any of them, even though you attend the lecture. You rock up at tutorial and the tutore asks "Who did the work?" and everyone says it was too hard and you sit there as they explain the questions to you. The exam is really annoying. Poor subject that expects you to basically teach yourself from the online My Accounting Lab.
