Reviews

This unit is very similar to CPAT3201 in terms of content load and exam style. We learnt about interesting pathologies related to the kidney, brain, reproductive tract (both female and male), heart and accessory digestive organs. As always, the museum specimen tutorials and microscope/histology tutes were enjoyable. Our online tutes (due to lockdown) had Menti quizzes (non-assessable fun)! Those who placed first in the quizzes for each tute class had a one-on-one session with the lecturers of specific modules. Also, we had tute workbooks on LabArchives that were marked, giving us basically 'free marks' and feedback on exam-style questions. The academics reply fast on Piazza. Students in CPAT3202 were tasked to do a pathogenesis project - a journal report or pathogenesis essay - and there were wide range of projects!

Did the advanced version. Interesting content, very similar in structure to CPAT3201, except new systems and more detail on Neuro. Enjoyable lab stay project and also had to make a short 3-minute video on a specimen in the museum. Relatively fast communication with academics through Piazza, some academics faster than others. Overall, it was a well-organised unit that adapted well to the switch to online classes.

Great subject, being especially useful to medicine. All classes are very flexible and at good times.
