Reviews

Was a really interesting subject! Sometimes it's hard to complete assignments to the marking criteria cause you don't know whether your tutor will be picky or not (mine was quite picky).Really interesting content and sets you up nicely for health/medical/bio subjects! Lots of content that can become overwhelming but ultimately consistency will help you!

Overwhelming at first but it's ultimately worth it. Revise and do well on quizzes and you'll be fine. And you get to do a coding assignment!

Great subject; simple, but content-heavy. Absolutely loved the SSP labs - if you're on the fence, definitely take SSP.

Great subject! Practicals were really fun as we got to do dissections. Assignments were interesting - coding and creating a video. A little content heavy but most of the content builds onto high school biology.

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2018

Lots of content to remember for a first year subject but practicals are a good time to ask any questions and consolidate the information learnt in lectures. Prac tutors are really supportive and great.

Great intro to human biology! There is pretty much NO background required. By the end of the subject, if you do well, you will be at the same level as your peers.

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2016

Very heavy in content for a first year subject and absolutely must prioritise if you're looking for a D or HD mark. Concepts are not too difficult, easily taught.

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2015

Interesting subject, highly recommend if you are interested in the health sciences and have a biology background. However it is content heavy so make sure to study weekly and you should be okay :)
