The course material is quite interesting but is taught extremely poorly, with most exam content coming from knowledge of assembly rather than what is taught throughout the term. If the course was delivered more competently, it would have been far more enjoyable.

Core computing unit. This unit will be what you make of it. If you don't do your own study and keep on top of it lectures, labs and the major project will be a nightmare. If you do stay on top of things it will be very rewarding.
