This subject is pretty interesting if you'd like to understand how the law operates in a more practical sense, the contemporary examples were really great to get you engaged. The assessments have quiet broad topics so the sooner you get an idea of the area you would like to research the better. I did find the material a bit repetitive but, in retrospect, it is to better prepare you to tackle the second assessment - be aware it is a little daunting at first glance. If you get lucky with a really awesome tutor the subject seminars are very enjoyable, the staff for this semester seemed very supportive, and if you're a bit scatter brained like me they are a huge help! It's not too complex but do prepared to do A LOT of reflection and interrogation of the law reforms you look at! (Also, I barely did many of the readings and got by fine!)

This subject had some interesting components, such as how reform through the law can actually resist true social change. Sadly, I did not find this subject as eye-opening as I would have liked, and the content felt quite repetitive. The readings and tutorial discussion were interesting though.

This subject is good for engaging in real world practice of law reform, and not just straight up theory. However the assignment descriptions are really quite vague and involve a lot of time just to figure out what exactly it is you need to do. Would recommend if you're interested in current social issues and their reform

Great subject. Engaging seminars with discussions on relevant issues. Exposure to law reform submissions.
