the coordinator LOVES Italian cinema. a LOT OF ITALIAN LANGUAGE FILMS. I actually ended up liking them tbh but would have preferred a bit more variety. Lecturer also would do a mini lecture before and after the screening which felt like overkill on top of the other lecture. Tutor didn't really make an effort to engage the class, which made it less persuasive for me to try and engage, people are scary. sadly not much has changed since the other commenter re:rubrics, they make a point to not have an official rubric for students to access, nearly failed the first assessment on account of key details having no clear definition to be found/taught.

I was really looking forward to this subject, but it wasn't what I expected at all. There was no structure and it felt like things were being made up on the spot. The direction was all over the place. Rubrics for assignments were not provided, nor was there any assignment feedback for previous essays. This would have gone a long way. However, the films for viewing were wonderful and the lecturer and tutor were very nice.
