I had high hopes for this subject and it didn't quite meet my expectations. I thought the discussion would be more contemporary but the first 5 or so weeks are about pre-modern democracy which is dry. First essay was difficult and boring, second assessment was more interesting. This is a political theory subject so I'd suggest having some prior knowledge if you want to do it.
