Potentially the best-taught subject of my degree. The lecturer (I certainly can admit) may rub people the wrong way, however, I found him incredibly knowledgeable and absurdly articulate. Interesting content and clearly taught—definitely, a subject that is doable for everyone as long as you are willing to work. Assessments are on the harder side but definitely fair and interesting !

100% recommend!!! Such an interesting subject - had so much fun researching and writing for the essays because the content was genuinely interesting. Hamza is a fantastic lecturer (I believe this was the first year he led this subject so doubly impressive), very informative and very engaging. Tutorials were conducted really well - high engagement and very well structured for good discussions. My only complaint was that I wished the tutorials were longer so there was more time to engage in depth with everything from each week!

One of the best subjects I have done in my arts degree, the assignments were quite difficult but the content was very interesting and engaging.

The lecturer was a self righteous Ben Shapiro type except not nearly as smart and my tutor was a “self-proclaimed nerd” and it was so painfully clear that she had never grasped that people don’t think being a loser is cute and quirky.
