Reviews

The content of the subject is hit and miss in terms of whether its interesting or not. Some of the lectures were a lot more research/experimental focused than others. Some lecturers were much more interesting and much fairer on the exam/MSTs than others. Overall I thought the assessments were fair.

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2016

Content was relatively interesting however some of the lecturers were very unclear in what they expected which made assessment difficult to prepare for, however despite this I still managed to score a H1

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2018

The content of this subject was interesting however some of the lectures were difficult to get through because of some of the lecturers. The other lecturers however were excellent.

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2018

Very interesting subject. Lectures are mostly based on experimental evidence proving certain theories.

best subject

Well organised and overall well taught

Loved this subject. The MSTS and exam was fair. Only subject that had a review session for the MST so that we could go over our answers. The content was interesting and all tied together nicely at the end of the semester.

I found Neuorphys. to be one of the more enjoyable subjects, due to the content in a large part being very interesting. Assoc. Prof. Andrew Allen who takes most of the lectures is great, some of the other lecturers were a bit hit and miss. Assessment involved two MSTs and an exam, all MCQs which takes a bit of the stress out.

This subject is straightforward, in terms of required knowledge for the MSTs and exams. The assessment tasks comprise only two MSTs, and a final exam, meaning you don't have to worry about any big assignments. This allows you to hone your focus onto a thorough understanding of the lecture material, however don't expect much communication via LMS. When I did the subject, only 9 posts were made throughout the entire semester.
