Badly run. staff do not respond on ed discussion. half of the quizzes have one attempt only when you are promised 3. we haven't gotten feedback from assignments that were due 2 months ago. half the lectures don't have learning outcomes and you have no idea what to learn from them, especially the week 2 lecture. no exam revision/preparation. half the tutorials cover content from the week they are run in, meaning most people don't have enough time to cover the material before attending the tutorial, so most students have no idea about what's going on. they include so much extra stuff that is examinable in the tutorials that was not in lectures and so you technically have double the amount of content they say. half the lectures have slides with 500 words on them, and the lecturer reads WORD for WORD. it is so hard to remain focused when you just have an essay being read to you. Please please please please avoid at all costs if you don't want your wam to tank!!!!

worst subject i've ever taken, so disorganised and lecturers do not know how to teach - it's either 1 million words on every slide and the lecturer reads WORD FOR WORD off the slide or an illustration but the lecturer is unable to form coherent sentences when not presented with a script so goes on a tangent instead. the thing is, they will sometimes say something in the lectures that is important but not on the essay-looking slides, so you still have to watch the lectures just in case. and half the learning objectives are to 'appreciate xyz', which i find is meaningless to add. they just want more words on their very blank and boring slides. also, the lecturer absolutely does not care at all whether you have any personal circumstance/issue. absolutely zero sympathy, not even a response. additionally, weekly quizzes feel almost completely unrelated to the actual subject content. the workshops were also somewhat disconnected from the content. the workshop is also compulsory, and if you don't attend, you get a fat 0 for your weekly quiz mark even if you did it. this was not properly announced nor emphasised, further exemplifying how poorly directed the subject is. workshops and practicals are dry and boring. there is no attempt to make the content interesting at all and the lecturers were monotonous and uninteresting. the worst thing you could do is take this subject, so please do not make the same mistake as i did.
