AMAZING SUBJECT this was genuinely one of my favourite subjects of my entire undergrad and I think it's because of it's fresh approach to statistics and data analysis. You basically learn how to contextualise data and think outside of the box when it comes to viewing a dataset/study. Your thinking is challenged from simply accepting what is said in a study to actually thinking: wait, why did the researchers do that? It's a bit of an artsy stats subject in that the exam is short answer and you have to argue for your point (which worked in my favour!). It's really all about interpreting a study in a more critical way, as opposed to passively taking it in. Paul and Age are awesome, they are so supportive and passionate and the guest lectures they organised were amazing. For a subject that has only started running this year, it went super smoothly! Just make sure you're well acquainted with some type of programming language/software (e.g. Minitab, R, etc) because the assignments do require you to have pre-existing knowledge of that and put it in the assignments. Other than the exam, the assignments were also well done and fine to do (nothing extremely hard). As someone who isn't so good with the calculation aspect of stats, this was a great subject (there is no content explained or assessed on calculating stats like confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, etc). Brilliant work!
