It's an interesting subject. For some, it's a bit dry because they're expecting a lot of law but are taught what feels like literature or some art history course. Yes, it's far more "artsy" than I expected too. To get through it, I recommend only taking it if you're interested in some aspects of literature/fine art or even architecture. Also try to engage with discussions. You have flexibility in your final essay so you can choose to focus only on what interests you. That made the subject more bearable for me!

Dry and quite boring. Also, marking was strange.

This is a complex class and it does require work, it’s not super content heavy, much more interpretative which means you’ll need to genuinely form critical opinions. However it was super well run and interesting, and I think anyone who puts in the work can do well. Assessments are fun too!

Complex but gives a great foundation for understanding how the language functions through judgments and legal texts.
