Super easy subject, managed to get a 85 without putting to much effort in. The lectures where pretty bland and boring, and felt like an introduction to ecology/zoology then natural history, however I found the tutorials to be quite interesting and despite the assignments being fairly easy, the feedback was really good, and helped me a lot. Overall, I thought that this subject was an easy WAM, and as someone who is interested in natural history and ecology this subject was unsatisfying and lacking.

In our first tutorial, we were immediately told "you can skip all the lectures and not do the reading and still do well in this subject", so do with that information as you will. I picked this because I wanted to easy elective and it was exactly that. A lecture that you can often skip; an hour long tutorial where they probably won't ask you about the lecture that you skipped; and assessments that range from roughly 300 - 1000 words to complete every week. I put in the bare minimum and averaged about a 75% all sem. Great if you want an easy subject to take the edge off of your other design subjects - assuming you do Design - probably not that enjoyable if you genuinely love Natural History. From what I've been told, the lectures are actually genuinely interesting if you like Natural History, though!

It is supposed to be a WAM booster as it is a very easy subject now I think about it. No exam, just essays. The assignments are chill to do as well. Overall, a really bland subject, worth taking as a breadth and elective to increase your WAM and relax lol.
