Outstanding subject. One of the most useful, practical subjects I have done at UniMelb. The subject is essentially a semester-long group project working working on a real-world project for an actual organisation (e.g. DEWLP, University of Melbourne Biodiversity Department, Merri Creek Catchment etc.). It gives you real-world experience working to solve an actual problem, and gives you a tangible output to put on your CV. Dr Antanas Spokevicius is a passionate, patient, committed teacher and really gives this subject is all. The workshops/lectures give a great overview of what kind of jobs are out there and how to go about improving your skills and employability. 10/10 would recommend this to anyone looking to work in anything related to the environment, sustainability, land use etc.
