The material is easy as of 2024, like, really easy, and this is reflected by the fact that this class does not need any prerequisites. However, the marking is very harsh. There is an expectation of you having prior experience and knowledge of horticulture in order to get good marks. I'm a molecular bio student and I was only able to get a 70 despite memorising all the material from the lectures. They expect you to recall from prior knowledge of plants and ecosystems not taught inside the subject. Would not recommend if you want to boost your WAM.

Very interesting content, interesting assignments, engaging lectures. Marking was weird though, I don't think the markers read through assignments very thoroughly - marking and comments reflected this, and the comments were a bit condescending. Thinking outside the box and extra research are not rewarded in this subject.
