Stressful, exhausting at the end, but very rewarding. Like 'Chemical Research Project' but way longer, the masters research project gives you an idea of what a life in academia is like. You'll have up's and down's in your research progress, you'll be excited and you'll be frustrated, but it's all part of the deal. My main advice is to choose your supervisor and project wisely (talk to students already in their group to get an idea of what the supervisor is like), and aim to finish your thesis much earlier than the due date. You'll eventually need to re-write sections of it and completely change the formatting, so get it done early and get feedback from your supervisor throughout the writing process. (P.S. Breaking up the research component into 'subjects' is just a formality. You'll need to continue working throughout the 'breaks' between semesters, getting four weeks of leave each year, plus one week off at Christmas. I did Masters in 2015-2016, but that doesn't appear in the drop-down menu, so I'll select semester 1, 2017, which is the oldest option available.)
