Industry Core and Placement - capstone subject for Master of Arts and Cultural Management. This subject has two components - the internship and the lectures. The internship is a 50-hour internship you have to do across the semester, but you have to find it yourself and if you don't get accepted anywhere you can't take the subject. I personally believe the uni should be responsible for sourcing these internships for students because although I was lucky enough to find one at a smaller organisation that was willing to take me on, it can really mess with your plans and potentially even your graduation date if you have to try again and take the subject another time. The lectures were every second week, and contained a mix of information about our research project and information about how to work in the arts industries. Some of this information would have definitely been a lot more useful at the start of the degree rather than at the end. Overall, it was definitely the most practical and useful subject out of any of the other Arts and Cultural Management subjects I've done.
