Perception Abbreviated Exam Study Notes (HD result)

Description

These notes are abbreviated; going over the main topics and concepts in the unit (definitions and descriptions). These are the notes I made from my detailed lecture notes, when studying for the final exam. I achieved a total mark of 91 (HD) for this subject). Notes include: Visual: light, structures of the eye, receptive fields, Gestalt grouping rules, colour perception, depth perception, attention. Audition (hearing): sound, structures of the ear, localisation of sound, qualities of sound, production of sound. Olfactory (smell): odorants, structures. Gustatory (taste): structures/receptive areas. Spatial Orientation: modalities, mechanoreceptors, thermoreceptors, nociceptors, kinaesthetic receptors, pathways to the brain, homunculus.
