The unit coordinator isn't very helpful; if you ask for advice or questions, you'll be left more confused. He'll respond to your questions with either a question or disregard it! This unit doesn't have any exams, but he has a 'midterm quiz', which is set up like an exam. Good luck studying for the quiz as he won't tell you what to study for. The unit coordinator doesn't really follow the APA guidelines, as he has his own guidelines he'd want you to follow religiously, and if you miss out on any of them, you'll get marked down. The feedback survey for this unit doesn't have the option to leave feedback about the unit coordinator/tutors performance or your overall experience with them/class, which says a lot about the unit's overall teaching quality! Good luck to those taking this class, I advise joining the group chat for this unit (visit the Facebook MU psychology page!) as you can help one another since this unit's teaching staff won't provide much assistance!

A truly terrible unit that is poorly run and poorly designed. Minimal content that isn't conveyed in any helpful way, coupled with an incompetent unit coordinator makes the unit unbearable. Assessments are either unfairly set or expectations are set unrealistically high, creates overwhelming stress and frustration. Sadly it is a core unit for Psychology so best advice is just prepare for pain and sadness for the semester.
