Reviews

Really easy subject, and great content. Non-traditional form of learning that works really well, and Neil is a really enthusiastic convener/tutor with a great insight into T&L strategies

Interesting unit, but very much a bludge subject. There is a one hour lecture each week (which 80% of the time isn't recorded on echo fyi) and a two hour tutorial each week (also very much a bludge - i dont think i wrote anything down at all during the tutes). There were only two assessments and they were worth 50% each - in the first, a 2 min video, everyone was marked extremely well; and the second, an essay/report based on a guest lecturer was also very simple. The unit did have some valid ideas and teaching points, but it definately could go more in depth into specific methods for teaching Aboriginal students and specific resources that could be utilised.
