If I could give 0 stars I would Damien is by far the worst teacher I've ever experienced Ignores emails/forum posts from students asking for help Lectures are basically useless, they show the content from a week ago meaning you're a week behind for pracs The assignments had code errors meaning students could not do it correctly, assignment questions are worded extremely vague and weird for no reason for Damien to be pretentious? Seriously if you don't need to do this then don't, Damien does like 4-5 units every semester and doesn't put in any effort in any of them

A relatively easy unit – if you genuinely enjoy programming and have performed well in your degree up to this point, you should have almost no problem attaining a distinction. This unit should challenge you to think carefully about software design and consider what "well-written code" means to you. My one criticism of this unit is that the assignments are poor examples of the design patterns that are taught in lectures. (Note: I did this unit as COMP229 in 2017 S2. StudentVIP doesn't let me select this.)

If you are not into OOP then this unit is clearly not for you. The contents build up really fast each week and you will have a hard time with this unit if you ever let yourself fall behind
