The content is indeed a bit hard in my opinion, but still interesting. The weekly quizzes are also not too difficult to manage.

Really interesting unit, much of it was new to me and gave me a very good introductory understanding of the brain at the neuron level and some of the higher-level organization. All of the lecturers were engaging and fantastic. They were more than happy to help and answer any questions after lectures or by email. The tutorials were super helpful. The reading was rather complex, it goes beyond the level of complexity in the lectures. The weekly quizzes were based on the reading so they were also difficult, but I think that they did really help force me to stay on top of the content and have an in-depth understanding of the content, allowing me to be more successful in the unit. This unit made me wish that every subject did weekly quizzes like this unit

I enjoyed this unit. I had a bit of background from having done neuroanatomy and other anatomy subjects in the previous semesters, so the concepts were new but related to previous knowledge. It's really info packed and quite complex so I'm glad I didn't take it in my first sem. That being said, the content was really, unusually well organised, and the unit structure was nice and simple with just the textbook and lectures being assessable. And it was all really interesting. Very engaging, I was not bored. The pracs were fun too. Just gotta stay on top of the workload. I'm not sure you could pass this unit without having done the chapter readings, and they were long and very detailed chapters. (20 pages, sometimes more) Weekly quizzes can be a pain but in this unit they really helped me stay on track, and they provided them as practice quizzes afterwards so that really helped me learn the content better. The quizzes were really hard though. Great unit, I really enjoyed it.
