If you're interested in aid/global politics/poverty this subject is amazing and super impactful. Makes you angry / want to rant to your friends about the content. Assessment tasks are chunky essays which is hard, but the tutorials are super engaging and the readings are interesting (but hard). Gives you great perspective of the history of "3rd world" poverty and power. A must-do if you're considering going into non-profit or aid work.

I learnt a lot about the corruption and pitfalls of international aid, which were very insightful and valuable to learn, although I found the unit overall a little dull. However, the assessments weren't hard and the tutorials themselves were quite engaging.
