If this course is your elective choices, then dont choose it. I enrolled in semester2, the unit convener did not explain it well. When you need helps or need advice, it wastes your time to ask him because he will say just google it. He was not willing to answer student’s questions. However, the lecturer before him who taught week 1-5 was a very good explainer.

Challenging if you're not familiar with Australian Company Laws, requires extensive reading and practicing sample questions is key. Teachers are a bit fast in class so you've do your own reading before coming to class.

A challenging subject if you are unfamiliar with the legal structure in Australia, or the Corporations Act (so, most people studying this unit). It is super useful if you are going to be involved in governance, or running your own company in the future, as the legal framework is exactly what you need to know to stay ahead of the law (I wish I'd studied this before starting my own company!). There is a definite degree of memorising case names, section numbers of the Corporations Act etc, you can't avoid that - but a little goes a long way here, especially if you get an understanding of how to apply the cases and statutes to real business matters. When I did the unit there was a large presentation component, which is fine doing, but can be limiting when you're sitting through 60 students' worth of presentations...

The difficulty of this unit varies depending on who you get for your unit convenor. Unfortunately, I took the subject when we were not allowed to take any notes into the final exam, meaning I had to memorize every section and case. If you are allowed to take notes, the unit is not as intense; however, you MUST practice writing essay responses otherwise you will run out of time or write insufficient answers.

If you can, should choose Mr. Andrew for your lecturer cause it is really an abstract subject.
