It is an easy to pass subject and requires little to no effort however if you are interested in Accounting area of study it is very important to start building your foundation with this course.

Honestly a great unit, very easy to understand, and introduces a lot of core accounting concepts that are very useful in later units! Excel assignment was fun too imo.

The pace of this course is very appropriate for an introduction to Financial Accounting. The weekly homework is effective in encouraging students to stay on top of the content, and the tutorials are rather interactive which makes the subject more engaging.

A very favorable unit to all. it is a unit you can really score well in as long as you stay up to date with the excel assignment and tutorial work

One of the easiest units at MQ. As long as you are able to follow the lecture slides and do your homework, you can easily score a D or HD.

all content taught were easy to comprehend and basic as it can get for an accounting unit. tutor was great and explained the lectures more in-depth while using the weekly assignments as examples. the assignments were quite easy to do, and even the final exam wasn’t all that hard as long as you recall all the topics discussed/have an understanding of it.

All content is taught comprehensively and extremely well in all lectures. Tutors are very knowledgable and teach in a concise manner that targets key learning areas. Concepts were easy to understand, and there was nothing out of the ordinary for the exams. An excellent subject.

Most if not all assessable content is taught in lectures. Relatively simple concepts. 1000 page textbook looks daunting, but is best used in providing examples for balance sheets etc, and not much else. If you understand the concepts and do a couple of past papers, no reason why you can't get D or higher.

Absolutely loved this unit! Worked hard and got a HD. Just make sure you go for the lectures and do the weekly homework as it helps a lot. Fred was an amazing tutor and he made it easy for you to understand the content. Easy subject if you put in the effort!
