Reviews

MLL111 ambitiously attempts to span every aspect of the life-cycle of a commercial contract. Well-presented. Requires agility to keep up with the content.

Very well taught but some of the content is pretty boring

Amazingly easy unit to study! Exam was very straight forward. Just do the unit review questions and youll pass easily

I really enjoyed this subject! The workload was quite massive to cover it all in full detail, but i found the content was very interesting, well organised and generally well presented. The main lecturer was excellent, really knew her stuff, and conveyed the knowledge well. My tutorial teacher was not very good unfortunately so i found it more beneficial not to bother with tutorials.

Worst experience and kick to your confidence in law school overall. The assignment was marked unreasonably and with arrogance. If their POV doesn't match your conclusion, despite adequately analysing it, you fail. So much for 'two sides in law/every case.' Teachers expect perfect responses but do not teach how to achieve it. No wonder why there is a high fail rate.

Really massive contents. Most other unis break it to Contract A and B. The unit organisation was not good. It got even worse by holidays.

Fantastic lecturer, however painful subject. Content is not terribly hard to understand when one has great notes and has stayed on top of the reading, however, the assignment was marked harshly and gives quite a kick to your confidence levels leading up to exam. Best advice is to do the review questions at the end of the textbook and practice exams and get them looked over by the teaching staff.

it was a hard subject, but worth the knowledge

Anonymous, Semester 1, 2015

I did MUCH better than I thought I would (I thought I failed) but it's still not easy

Anonymous, Semester 2, 2016

I found this unit to be far harder than the other seven units I've studied so far. It was interesting, but it had quite a lot of difficult content and was quite intense for a commencing student. I was incredibly dissatisfied by the exam, which was riddled with mistakes, only assessed a very small portion of the content, and was marked very harshly.
