Incredible intro to psych!!! Was super similar to VCE 3/4 psych, so a great recap after studying that. Wonderful teachers and great resources.

Firstly, you do not need the prescribed text so don't waste those precious $$.. This was an elective I took and regretted. I learnt I am not fan of neurobiology in the practical sense. This IS NOT a critical thinking unit, it requires strict revision and A LOT of memory encoding. If this isn't a core or you don't have a keen interest in the biology of the brain STEER CLEAR!! It was not a difficult unit and I learnt so much that I take into my everyday life but there was sooooo much content to remember for the exam. Let's just say I have a new found respect for psychology graduates.

Loved the unit. Great introduction to psychology and an easy transition from VCE Psychology.

Great intro to psych!

A pretty interesting unit! Exam was multiple choice and really easy.

Great Subject!

The content was very similar to VCE psychology and was easy to keep up with the coursework however the assignment was difficult and instructions were vague.

This unit was literally VCE Psychology. There is no new content. Thus, I found the content of the unit to be easy but interesting. I did strongly disagree with the way we were assessed - we were asked to build a website explaining a scientific report in "plain English", and while I like the deconstructed research report aspect of it, it was a huge struggle to use the badly-designed website builder we were forced to use. I do not believe it is fair to assess students on whether they can use a terrible website builder to create pretty webpages in a Psychology unit. Nonetheless, the exam was incredibly easy and it is not hard to do very well in this unit.

This unit is super easy if you've done year 12 Psych as it covers all of the same material with just one extra topic. The assignment wasn't bad and the exam wasn't difficult, but I did find the way the unit was delivered to be somewhat disengaging, especially the online topic videos!

Very well ran unit. Lots of concepts to grasp however very supported in the learning. The DRR assignment format was a little bit harder to grasp but lecturers were quite supportive
