Hi! My name is Mark and I am finishing up by PhD in Educational Studies and Economics. As a student, my academic career has been spent taking many standardised tests. I have a great deal of experience with preparation for these tests, as I have done very well on them in the past. While preparing to take these tests, I have vivid memories of the stress that I experienced. It was thanks to many teachers and mentors that I was able to get through these challenges without too much struggle. My teachers taught me to stay calm and focus on one problem at a time. This attitude helped me to think critically and, ultimately, achieve the scores that I wanted.
My style as a tutor is to remain flexible, as students learn in many different ways. I try to ensure that my students are comfortable and feel an enthusiasm for learning. Listening is important to determine what teaching style will work best, then adapting to that style to maximise and enhance their learning experience.
When I have free time, I like to golf, cook, and travel.
