horrible assessment design 2 exams (1 is worth 50% and is 1500 words) + participation both exams are also research essays with the expectation that students memorise and reproduce their essay in an exam. Needless to say this takes the worst aspects of research essays and exams and just makes them worse. The only people who benefit are those who are good at memorising :(
