I adore Rubin as a lecturer. He’s one of the most engaging lecturers I’ve had and is so attentive to students. He breaks concepts down and creates a visual to better understand them. That being said, this was a difficult unit. Lots of reading (which is expected in philosophy), and deep ideas regarding what we know and how we know it. At times, I questioned whether what we were learning really even mattered. However, tutorials had fun discussions and highlighted areas of society etc where the content we covered would be relevant. Only giving 4 stars because I personally don’t enjoy going as deep below the surface as this unit did. But that’s just me hehe :)

Great unit, Rubin is an enthusiastic and engaging lecturer, satisfying level of depth into a variety of technical epistemological issues. Strongly recommend to all philosophy majors and anyone else interested in the field.
