DO NOT TAKE THIS UNIT!!!! If I could give it zero stars, I would. The marking in this unit was extremely harsh and inconsistent. Despite putting in significant effort on all three assignments, both myself and multiple classmates received unexpectedly low marks. Feedback was unclear and did not reflect the work submitted, making it feel like the lecturer was actively looking for reasons to deduct marks rather than assess fairly. I originally enrolled in this unit to improve my WAM, but it ended up damaging it instead. On the final assignment, I received a zero because I used ChatGPT to help locate references — not to write the content, simply to find sources — and this resulted in me failing the unit with a final mark of 47. This outcome has now affected my graduation timeline. Overall, this has been one of the most disappointing and stressful academic experiences I have had at university. I would strongly advise future students to avoid this unit if possible.
