I did the subject in Spring 2004. The reason why my rating of this is mixed is because the subject content was good, but the lecturer, Sam Resienfeld, had a very complicated way of teaching the subject. His explanations were very complicated and required at least, from my opinion, a postgraduate level of understanding to know what he was talking about. The homework assignments were very difficult and I was just lucky to have passed the final examination. Sam also did not spend a lot of time covering analog communication systems such as amplitude modulation and frequency modulation. Fortunately, Sam is no longer teaching the subject so hopefully the new lecturer will keep these points in mind when writing the new curriculum
