Absolutely essential unit for CS. In INFO1103 you learnt how to solve a problem. In INFO1105 you learn how to solve a problem efficiently. This includes how you store your data, what algorithms to use on that data and ultimately how quickly your program will execute. Very time consuming subject with some surprisingly tricky quizzes. Overall, extremely satisfying unit and well worth taking even for non-CS students.

Very useful subject, one of the most important so far for my BCST. At times some concepts were difficult to grasp, however attending and participating in tutorials eased the learning curve significantly.

One of the most useful CS courses I have completed. The tutorial website was the best I have ever seen. It was full of useful information and featured beautifully styled twitter bootstrap content. The only major pitfall with this unit of study is the lectures and the lecturer. I don't feel that 2 hour block lectures are as effective as 2 separate 1 hour lectures.
