I took the first iteration of this class to be taught by Alexander Cigana, who was an amazing lecturer. Every week's lecture was jam-packed with super-detailed and engaging info, and he was constantly circulating interesting optional readings (for example: 'A Cultural History of Gesture: The Renaissance Elbow'). You might think you know the art of this period pretty well, but this stuff was almost all new and interesting, and there were lectures dedicated to things like print, poetry, and cultural exchange between Italy and the Ottomans. The amount of effort, and dedicated attention to detail, put into the course content was impressive. Definitely take if you have the chance!
