Lectures were interesting, but the tutorials and Nicholson museum visits were the most entertaining. Final essay could prove difficult as vital readings could be borrowed from library, but exams were very rewarding for those who studied.

The content was interesting however the course was a bit too fast paced meaning we didn't get to cover any of the civilisations we studied indepth (although this is a first year course...). The lectures where incredibly boring, however the tutorial set up was the saving grace of this subject. Getting to work up close with the objects we studied was great. The major essay was OK however I wished they just combined the 2 exams into one and saved everyone the stress. 3/5
