A great subject for teaching you how to write and reference academically in the correct way. However, because I'm not a fan of reading, the entire course was bought down by the amount of reading that was needed.

A useful subject to refresh correct assignment writting skills

An essential element to learning how to write essays and reports and group work if you want to achieve high results.

Thought this subject is unnecessary and teaches the wrong skills when studying a science degree.

Great tutor

Marama was great and was willing to help and wasn't like other tutor who aren't very interested in their students.

If you're coming straight from high school, this feels like a waste of time. You'll repeat basic essay writing structure and in text referencing. If you've had a few years of between study however, it'll likely be really helpful. If you're a law student, essay/report structure and referencing taught in this subject will not help you much as those subjects have their own criteria which are not touched on at all here.

Get started early on your assessment and attend all the tutorials and you will be fine. Make sure you get someone to proofread your assessment and do your research properly -this is the one subject where they might actually check your sources!

This is one of those subjects that are great for some and horrible for others; coming straight from highschool, I felt like I was repeating year 9 english, but I can see how vital it could be for someone who hasn't written an essay in years.

It isn't the most exciting course, but it is definitely useful for step by step instructions for how to write perfectly structured essays/reports/assignments in general (for any university course)
