It was probably one of the most memorable creative writing courses at UQ--forcing us to trim our wild ideas into bite sized pieces that were visually striking and impactful. Working alongside classmates, and the UQ Art Museum for "Ekphrastic poetry" inspiration, I discovered how rewarding it can be to re-imagine a work into something entirely new. I would reccomend this course for anyone who finds themselves ruminating over rhymes or obsessing over the tiny details, just for fun. You might be a poet or lyricist. It's certainly a doorway worth exploring... and heaps of fun, at that.
