Reviews
Confusing concepts made simple by a great lecturer. Without Carl the pass rate would be a lot lower. To excel in this subject make sure you make use of all the materials Carl provides.

Carl Sherwood is definitely a huge asset to UQ. He is hands down the best lecturer and has the best ways of explaining things simply. He not only taught the course well but also managed to make statistics interesting - not an easy feat.

One of the easiest courses you'll ever do at UQ! Didn't go to any of the lectures but still did great on the both exams and the weekly quizzes. Just make sure to understand and practice all the contents covered in tutorials.

as long as you are consistent with doing the quizzes every two weeks and practice enough, you will do well. they dont drastically change the exam from the practice, time constraint is a big problem, get good and get fast too

Great subject, lecturer (Carl Sherwood) works really hard to make it interesting and provides a really solid grounding for later stats courses.
Anonymous, Semester 2, 2015
Course content is not overly difficult although it is cumulative so you should make sure you've got a clear understanding otherwise in later weeks it is difficult. Lecturer is a confusing but PASS and tutorials are very helpful.

This course is made great by the Lecturer, Carl S. Course content was easy to understand and made for a very enjoyable stats program.

Extremely easy course especially if you've done Maths B. Lecturer was very thorough and explains concepts very well. Tutorials and pass are quite boring but very helpful.

Course is taught very well but the course content is cumulative meaning you can't get behind otherwise you struggle to catch up and understand the new concepts. Quite an easy subject if you put the effort in every week and stay up to date.

Course content is cumulative so make sure you study understand each week, otherwise you'll fall behind. PASS was very helpful and so were tutorials. Lecturer is a fun character; entertaining and very thorough.
