Reviews
Loved this subject, content was very engaging and the lecturer was great. Tutors can be a hit or a miss. One of my tutors was fantastic and super helpful while the other acted as if he had no teaching experience nor interest in the subject. Only thing is be prepared for this subject to take up most of your time. Started my semester off with 4 subjects, finished with only two, a large part of this was due to taking this subject. It requires A LOT of work and is very fast paced. You dont realise how much 2 tutorials and 3 lectures per week is until you do it and this was on top of being required to complete 2 assignments per week which went to the final mark and often took several hours to complete. Still would recommend to anyone who needs the subject for a pre-requisite or just has an interest in maths.

This subject was great fun! I would strongly recommend anyone interested in maths and engineering to do it.

The pace of this subject is very fast and it would be alot easier if you had done year 12 maths instead of this subject.

Personally, i didn't do math in high school so this subject was quite challenging. They go through the lecture material REALLY fast. TIPS: make sure your internal grades are good because the exam is 80% worth. Do as much practice throughout semester rather than cram at the end

The content covers all the necessary basics doing justice to its existence as a math pre-requisite satisfying subject but learning it required loads of background work depending on the tutor/lecturer. Often found simpler explanations and methods with regard to the majority of topics online.

Subject was very well taught. Lecturers and tutors knew people taking this subject are generally weak maths students and catered to this well. Is identical to VCE Maths Methods Calculator Free section.

People generally do this subject who aren't good at maths, and the lecturer and tutors understand this and are lovely and helpful. It is a very fast-paced subject with a lot to learn in a short amount of time, so you must keep on top of the workload in order to pass.
